旅行会社の清掃

昨日は以前お世話になった神戸の旅行会社に行ってきました

私の前職は旅行会社です

長年勤めてまいりましたが新型コロナウィルスの影響で転職しました

先日、その時のお客様より久しくお電話いただき

「事務所の清掃をしてほしい」

と依頼がありました

内容をお聞きすると事務所のエアコン、床、ガラスが汚れているから清掃してほしい

ということ

お客様は旅行会社時代に大変お世話になった同じく旅行会社の社長

私は仕事よりもまず久しぶりにお会いしたいということで

二つ返事で伺うことにしました

この社長とは何度も一緒に海外に添乗に行ったこともある間柄

コロナの間も旅行会社を続けていらっしゃり、最近ようやく回復したこともあり

転職した私に清掃をお願いしたいとおっしゃられました

感謝しかありません

もちろんエアコン、床、ガラスをできるだけ綺麗にし作業が終了しました

通常だいたい５時間くらいで終わる行程でしたが

昔話に花が咲き滞在時間は約８時間

それでも疲れるどころが逆に頑張ろうと思ったこと

またこの社長と一緒に仕事ができたらいいなあと思った１日でした

Yesterday, I visited a travel agency in Kobe that I had been associated with in the past.
My previous job was in the travel industry, and I had worked there for many years.
However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, I had to change careers.

Recently, I received a phone call from one of my former clients from that time.
They asked if I could clean their office for them.
They explained that the office's air conditioning, floors, and windows were dirty and needed cleaning.

The client happened to be the owner of another travel agency,
with whom I had a close working relationship during my time in the travel industry.
Rather than focusing on the cleaning task at hand, I was more eager to reconnect with them after such a long time.
So, I readily agreed to help.

We had traveled together on several occasions, even abroad, and had a strong professional bond.
Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic,
this client had managed to keep their travel agency afloat and had recently started to recover.
It was touching that they wanted to entrust me with the cleaning task after I had changed careers.

I expressed my gratitude and proceeded to clean the air conditioning, floors, and windows as thoroughly as possible.
While the usual cleaning process would have taken around five hours,
our time together extended to about eight hours due to the many stories and memories we shared.
Instead of feeling tired, it made me more determined,
and I couldn't help but hope for future opportunities to work together with this client again.

It was a day filled with gratitude and fond memories. Thank you so much.
