今日はお休みを頂き家族でUSJに

行ってきました

息子♂の小学校が入学式のため休み

春休みや土日は混み合うので

今日が狙い目

ワクワクして朝から出かけました

平日とはいえ混んでいると予想し

絶対行きたいところをピックアップ

「ドラえもん」

「マリオカート」

朝9時に入場した時点でどちらも110分待ち

・・・110分❓

平日なのに・・・

さすがUSJ！

私たちも上手くやりくりし

2つ＋「ジョーズ」のアトラクション

をクリア

そしてもう一つ息子♂が

楽しみにしていたのが

「No limit!パレード」

午後2時から始まるパレードで

USJを代表するキャラクター達が

素敵なダンスで盛り上げてくれます

「キティちゃん」や「スヌーピー」

「ミニオンズ」や「ポケモン」

　そして「マリオブラザーズ」

驚いたのが途中でパレードが止まり

近くの観客をロープの内側に入れ

皆んなでダンスをしたことです

これには子供だけでなく

大人たちも大喜び

気温も熱気も最高に上がりました

ふと息子♂を見るとうつむいて

肩が震えています

泣いているのです

先に気づいた妻が息子♂理由を聞き

笑い出しました

どうやら息子♂は楽しすぎて

「嬉し泣き」

してしまったようです

私もそれを見た時

「連れてきて良かった」

と心から思いました

それからも

「ハリーポッター」や

恐竜を見たりと営業時間ギリギリまで

楽しみました

帰る時間今度は寂しそうにする息子を見て

「また今度来よう」

と約束しました

今度来た時もしてくれるでしょうか

「嬉し泣き」

そう思いながらUSJを後にしました

Today, I took a day off with my family and went to Universal Studios Japan.
My son had his elementary school entrance ceremony,
so we took advantage of his day off.

We picked today because we knew that spring break and weekends can get really crowded.
We were excited and headed out in the morning.
Although it was a weekday, we expected it to be crowded,
so we picked out the attractions we absolutely wanted to go to:

"Doraemon" and "Mario Kart."

When we entered at 9am, both had a 110-minute wait...

110 minutes?

On a weekday? USJ really lives up to its reputation!
We managed our time well and were able to enjoy two attractions plus the "Jaws" ride.
One of the things my son was looking forward to the most was the

"No Limit! Parade,"

where USJ's representative characters dance and liven up the atmosphere.
"Hello Kitty," "Snoopy," "Minions," "Pokemon," and "Mario Brothers"
all made an appearance.
I was surprised when the parade stopped midway and
they invited the nearby audience to come inside the ropes and dance together.
Not only the children, but also the adults were overjoyed,
and the temperature and excitement rose to their highest level.

Suddenly, I looked at my son and saw that he was looking down with his shoulders shaking.

He was crying.

My wife noticed first and asked him why.
Then, she started laughing.
It seemed that my son was so happy that he was "happy crying."
When I saw that, I thought from the bottom of my heart,
"I'm so glad we brought him here."
We continued to have fun until the very end, seeing
"Harry Potter" and dinosaurs just before closing time.
When I saw my son looking lonely on our way home,
I promised him that we would come back again.
I wondered if we could recreate the "happy crying"
moment next time we visit USJ.
And so, we left Universal Studios Japan behind.
