ベランダとバルコニー

本日は神戸市で2LDKの空き室清掃

マンション自体は新しく綺麗でしたが前回の居住者の方が

ほとんど清掃をしていないというお話でした

やはりところどころ埃や汚れがありました

ベランダは2LDKでは広くとってあり3LDKのそれくらい

もともと室外機が置いてあった場所は黒く汚れていましたが

いつもの通りで高圧洗浄機で汚れを落としました

ところで皆様

「ベランダ」と「バルコニー」

の違いはわかりますか？

ベランダは屋根付き

バルコニーは屋根無し

マンションはほとんど「ベランダ」がついています

屋根が無いバルコニーは雨が多い日本では

向かないということでしょうか？

とはいえ不動産屋さんも混混ぜこぜに

バルコニーとかベランダと呼んでいる方も多いです

本当のバルコニーの場合は手入れが大変です

雨が降ると水浸しになります

また晴れた日は直接日光が当たるため

床材が傷みやすいです

そんなバルコニー、デメリットばっかりじゃないの？

と言われそうですがそうでもありません

一般的にバルコニーの方がベランダよりも

広いことが多く開放的です

ビーチチェアやキャンプテーブルを置いて

くつろいだり

最近のキャンプブームでテントを広げたり

する方も増えています

とにかく広く使えることがバルコニーの魅力

Today, I cleaned a vacant 2LDK room in Kobe city.
Although the apartment itself was new and clean,
I was told that the previous tenant had hardly cleaned it.
As expected, there was dust and dirt here and there.
The balcony was spacious, more like that of a 3LDK,
and the place where the outdoor unit was originally located was blackened with dirt.
However, I was able to remove the dirt with a high-pressure washer as usual.

By the way, do you know the difference between

"veranda" and "balcony"?

Verandas have roofs, while balconies do not.
Most apartments have "verandas," as balconies without roofs are not suitable for Japan,
where it rains a lot. However, even real estate agents mix up the terms "balcony" and "veranda."

True balconies are difficult to maintain, as they get soaked when it rains and the flooring is easily damaged by direct sunlight on sunny days. However, balconies are not all disadvantages. Generally, balconies are more spacious and open than verandas, making them great for relaxing in beach chairs or setting up camp tables.
With the recent camping boom, more people are even setting up tents on their balconies.
