Though I'd heard about the difficulty of moving during peak season in Japan, I'd never thought it'd be that hard to find services in a reasonable price for a one-person non-furniture short-distant moving. It was such a relief for me to find out that the owner was available on my hopeful moving day at a perfect time.
Right after booking, the owner sent me the greetings and confirmations about the moving schedule, and then followed up about the possible changes I would make a couple of days before the moving day. He arrived right on time on the moving day, moved all my boxes in the car, drove me together to the new apartment, and carefully carried up everything to the forth floor. He also kindly noticed me about the space limitations for putting fridge and washing machine, which saved me very possible trouble from buying things that could not fit in.
It was all very effective, less than 3 hours from taking out the first box from the old room to putting everything down in the new one. We also had nice chatting while moving, even with my very broken Japanese.
